Dear visitor.

We find ourselves in a large hall divided by two pointed arches with a central column.

The two arches emerged during the restoration work on the Castle. They were incorporated inside the wall that divided this room in two.

The portal that allowed the passage between these two environments is now against the north wall, but was originally positioned parallel to the wall adjacent to it.

These were the rooms intended for the Castle's supply warehouses.

Three windows gave light to the living room; one is walled in and is only visible externally.

I invite you to continue your visit now, entering from the door to the right of the entrance to the Salone delle Arcate, which introduces you to the spaces dedicated to the Library.

The Library, which was supposed to be a reading center open to all the intellectuals of the time, was supposed to be a large room adorned with a rich art gallery and containing thousands of books bound in sheepskin, of which just under a thousand remain today and are visible at the Civic Museum of the Carmelite Cloister of Carini.

The doors of the cabinets that contained the many volumes preserved in this library are visible today.

From these brief notes, it can be seen how the Castle of Carini, which was built as a traditional manor, in defense of the House, little by little, both for the appeal of the characters who lived there and for the delightful action, became a true center of attraction.

Dear visitor, our story ends here, even if there is still much to tell.

Jonathan Livingston ODV and the Municipality of Carini thank you for visiting this Castle, rich in history and legends, a long history that spans a thousand years of this land.
